The manufacturing conditions of our shoes and bags

IMG_4797 (1)

Before reaching your feet, Himba shoes go through numerous stages. Nothing is left to chance, and each phase is essential.

Our designs are conceived several seasons in advance, undergoing a rigorous prototyping process in our workshops. Each pair is carefully studied, developed, and perfected, ensuring that only exceptional shoes leave our production. Naturally, our bags benefit from the same meticulous attention to detail.

Reflective materials

At Himba, we want our shoes and bags to last! The durability of our materials is crucial. We place as much importance on aesthetics as on quality. Our designs combine robustness, elegance, and originality. That's why we rely on leather, a noble and resistant material that ensures optimal support and unparalleled comfort.

As for our fabrics, sourced from markets or thrift stores, they add that little something extra that makes all the difference. Whether it's Wax, Bogolan, Batik, Java, or even upholstery fabrics, each one is carefully selected. Made from 100% cotton, sometimes woven and hand-painted, these fabrics are treated and reinforced to guarantee exceptional durability. They then beautifully adorn our Himba shoes and bags.

Styling down to the smallest detail

Style is more than just appearance; it's a science of detail. Each design is carefully considered. Which fabric to choose? Which leather to favor? Which stitching to use to enhance the overall effect? We opt for this precise topstitching. And what about the colors? Harmony is the result of meticulous work, because nothing is left to chance. Everything is designed for style, so that each piece is impeccable!

An exclusively European production

At Himba, we design and manufacture our products between the Vendée region of France, Portugal, and Italy. This is a deliberate choice: we are committed to respecting the strictest European standards. Environmental responsibility is also central to our approach. For us, it is unthinkable to let our carbon footprint increase. We favor close collaborations, prioritizing meetings with our partners to build strong, personal relationships.

Putting people at the heart of our approach

At Himba, the human element is paramount. We are proud to collaborate with artisans whose traditional expertise is unparalleled. Their talent and wise advice allow us to work with the finest leathers. They are the true guardians of the quality and authenticity of our creations.

A love of beautiful shoes is contagious. Trust us!
