Production
Producing differently
At HIMBA, we have chosen to manufacture 100% in Europe, primarily in Portugal, in small-scale workshops specializing in footwear and leather goods.
We work with carefully selected partners recognized for their craftsmanship, precision, and responsible approach to production. Behind every pair are skilled artisans, techniques passed down through generations, and a genuine attention to detail.
Production & Know-how
Made in Europe
At Himba Fashion, all our collections are manufactured in Europe—primarily in Portugal—in workshops specializing in high-end footwear and leather goods.
Limited editions
Our products are created in limited runs to preserve quality, artisanal standards, and attention to every detail. We collaborate with workshops selected for their rare expertise, technical excellence, and the unique quality of their craftsmanship.
Artisanal heritage
They are valued, long-standing partners who uphold an artisanal heritage passed down over the years—sometimes from generation to generation. Their expertise, acquired over time and honed through experience, enables us to offer creations that combine elegance, stability, comfort, and durability.
São João da Madeira
Each workshop is selected based on its area of expertise. Our pumps and sandals, for instance, are crafted in the São João da Madeira region—the true heart of luxury footwear production in Portugal. Manufacturing there remains deeply rooted in craftsmanship: from cutting the leather to the final touches, every step requires precision, mastery, and human skill.
Up to 115 stages
The shoe manufacturing process is particularly demanding. From design to packaging, several weeks of work are required, sometimes involving up to 115 steps depending on the model.
